Round and Round the Garden

I am first to admit that I like to get around in bulk fringing and kimonos and layers of jewels, but I am also a huge fan of ripped denim, flannies and muscle tees, which is exactly what I had on today. It was the first day here that it has been kind of wintry but I will hold on to being able to wear my OneTeaspoon outlaws for as long as I possibly can because they are so comfortable! I developed a bit of a thing for flannel tops after spending a few winter seasons in Jindabyne, where it is basically the uniform. This one is Black Friday from Dangerfield a few years ago, but I am about to experiment with buying a few from Uniqlo. The tee says Imaginary Beings, from Lenni the Label and I adore it, so easy to throw on with just about anything. I am a mad big boot wearer but I can never go past leopard (my motto being, 'leopard is a neutral' haha) so these slip ons from Asos are rad and perfect to get around easily in. To top it off, my rose quartz necklace is Hunter Gatherer  (get so many compliments on it) and the other is from Arrow Divine  :)
When I think about my style, I guess I just like to get on as many of my favourite things as possible, regardless of where they come from. (Much op shopped goodness sits in wardrobe waiting to be shot!)
On a different note I'm loving the mix of green and crunchy leaves in our garden lately!

If You've Got It On, You're Pulling It Off

I've never been sure how I feel about wearing crop tops, but I decided to bite the bullet and buy a cheap one from ASOS. I knew if it didn't look any good, this amazing Mahiya skirt could save the day. It is seriously so flattering, and can be worn as a floaty strapless dress or with a big brown belt like I do. Its length also means I can wear it high waisted so there's not too much tummy going on hehehe. Overall I might just be a crop top convert after all, at least until Western Australia starts to show some more signs of winter! And I always like to remember this pearl of wisdom from my dad, if you've got it on, you're pulling it off.

Shop the skirt (and heaps of other amazing things) here

The Beginning

My name is Kath, and I have started this blog basically because I love dressing up! Right back to when my brother wouldn't walk with me because I was wearing pants underneath a tie dyed nightie, I've had a bit of an obsession hehe ;) so this is just a chance for me to post things that I like to wear and things that inspire me.

Here's a little bit about me

I am 25, 26 in July this year, it's a scary thought but also kind of exciting to be heading into the back end of my 20s.

I decided to name this blog after a line in a Frightened Rabbit song that gets in my head all the time, "two lovers covered in covers.."

I'm totally a dog person, I have a border collie called Teddy and a Westie called Gracie and my Instagram is filled with them!

I just started a website called Under Wicked Clouds with my dad, it's not been running long but I'm loving it! You can have a look at www.underwickedclouds.com

Anyway, that's all from me for now, tune in for my first post in a few days <3
